Culture note: the story of a new beginning – from banker to discoverer

Culture note: the story of a new beginning - from banker to discoverer

The volkshochschule kitzingen presents on wednesday, 4. March, at 7 p.M. In the old synagogue a story of departure in words, photographs and piano sounds, experienced, narrated, photographed and recorded by christof jauernig. Christof jauernig is a business economist and has been working for many years in frankfurt am main as an analyst in a management consultancy for banks, according to a press release. What he does seems more and more pointless to him. But he only finds the courage to say goodbye to his daily routine on the hamster wheel when his inner resistance becomes too strong. Soon after, he sets off on a six-month backpacking trip through southeast asia – with no plan for afterwards. It leads him back to himself and out of the mental carousel.

Now he comes to kitzingen for one evening. To a rough selection of projected travel photographs, he recites texts that were written on the way. They tell of his journey, but also of listening to the inner voice, of breaking out of unhealthy routines, of disempowering intellect and value, and of valuing every moment. Tickets are available at the box office from 6 p.M. Onwards.
